A batch of IT, audit, risk, and compliance professionals has successfully completed the Fundamentals of IT Auditing Seminar held at the Cebu Midtown Hotel last June 27-28, 2008 conducted by Mr. John B. Estioko of PBCom.

This is the first time ISACA Manila held an event out-of-town. The chapter has received numerous requests and invitations to conduct a training in Cebu. And with the cooperation of the IIA-Cebu Chapter, the training was held successfully.

The course aims to provide the participants an overview of the IT audit concepts, to describe the auditor’s roles in the company and to discuss the standards that govern the IT audit profession. Practical Views are shared to reinforce what you learned from the principles to enable you to apply at work effectively right after the training. Participants are from Aboitiz & Co., First Consolidated Bank, Cebu Holdings, Inc., Wealthbank, Alaska Milk, Timex Philippines, BDO Alba Romeo & Co., Viscal Dev’t. Corp., and the Rural Bank of Subangdaku.

It is ISACA's advocacy in enriching the knowledge and skills of all IT Audit and control professionals outside Manila as well especially in the VisMin Region.
